PR - Policy
The Policy related to informing the public is based on some fundamental principles:
Credibility
DLH and other involved parties will strive to be credible in all that what is done on the Project. Only in this way can good communication be achieved between the parties involved in the Project and the public voices like the national and international press, the universities, the Non-Governmental Organisations, the people of Istanbul and Turkey and other similar groups and stakeholders.
Openness
DLH and its representatives will always strive to be as open, informative and correct in releasing data and information to the public as possible. This means that when information is released, the information will be correct, as much information as reasonably possible will become public knowledge and information will be given as early as possible.
Clear and structured approach, a controlled process
The organisation will strive to be as clear, consistent and concise as possible in the way the communication is performed. The objective is in this way to avoid misunderstandings and to avoid waste of energy arising from misunderstanding.
Respect the public opinion
DLH and its representatives will respect the public opinion. All citizens can not have the same opinion about a project like the Marmaray Project, but it will always be respected that all citizens have a right to express their opinion about the solutions of the Project.
Therefore, DLH will at any time accept to discuss the project in public meetings, and in this way also be given the opportunity to explain the features, advantages and disadvantages of the Marmaray Commuter Rail Project.
